Purpose of the Position
To always ensure a clean and workable kitchen area by scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, glasses, flatware, service ware and miscellaneous items and washing them by hand and/or the dishwashing machine.
This position requires exemplary organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Attention to detail is necessary to clean and maintain equipment and work areas according to in-house, local, state, and federal regulations for safety and sanitation.
Requirements
Stewards will be responsible for:
Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service.
Assisting Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience.
Ensuring the proper set up of all side stations in the outlet.
Following outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Ensuring that the cleaning schedule is adhered to and to the required standard.
Sweeping, mopping, and polishing the restaurant.
Washing down bar; cleaning and polishing equipment.
Cleaning lights, fans, chairs, and tables.
Making sure that all areas of the bars and restaurants are clean, including sideboards.
Cleaning and mopping lounge bar and equipment.
Assisting barmen/women with the transportation of stock from Department Storerooms.
Stocking stipulated Food & Beverage areas with ice, as required.
Making sure bar and restaurant equipment is correctly stored.
Transporting used linen to and from Housekeeping/Laundry for use in Food & Beverage service areas.
Stocking and tidying up the Storeroom.
