We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in retail, specifically in managing cash transactions in supermarts and brand stores. The candidate should be between the ages of 25 and 35, with a minimum education level of intermediate or higher. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the cashier team, ensuring smooth operations at the checkout counters.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
3. Handle complex transactions, including refunds, exchanges, and voids, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate cash registers, including cash handling, counting, and reconciling transactions at the end of each shift.
5. Monitor cashiers' performance, provide training and guidance, and ensure compliance with cash handling policies and security procedures.
6. Collaborate with the store management team to implement and enforce effective loss prevention measures.
7. Assist with scheduling, assigning work shifts, and coordinating breaks for the cashier staff.
8. Conduct cash audits and prepare reports on cash discrepancies or shortages, ensuring accurate financial records.
9. Stay updated with product knowledge, promotions, and discounts to provide accurate information to customers and cashiers.
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
1. Minimum age of 30 years.
2. At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the retail supermarket industry.
3. Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team of cashiers.
5. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues effectively.
6. Detail-oriented and organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
7. Familiarity with cash handling procedures, including cash counting, reconciliation, and reporting.
8. Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
