Department: Environmental Resources and Waste Management
Salary: R1 386 163 - R1 712 938 per annum (TCTC)
Key performance areas:
- Provide strategic capability and leadership to ensure operational strategic goal are realized

Provide cost effective, efficient, reliable refuse removal service to all customer to ensure a clean and healthy environment
Provide operate and maintain environmentally acceptable waste disposal facilities to ensure safe disposal of waste
Establish community participation and involvement in waste management issues to empower and develop communities and SMMEs
Provide and maintain an efficient administration function to ensure efficient and cost effective service delivery
Provide effective people Management and empowerment to empower the workforce within the division
Provide Good Governance and Risk management to ensure good governance.
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or relevant equivalent NQF level 7
- 5 years’ relevant management experience in a similar environment, of which at least 3 years must have been at Senior Management level

Note: The successful candidate who does not have the NQF Level 5 Finance Management qualification will be required to obtain it within 18 months, in terms of the National Treasury Requirement.
Appointments will be made on a 5 (five) year fixed term and will be subject to the signing of an employment contract, performance agreement and disclosure of financial interest. Candidates will be subjected to relevant competency assessment as well as security clearance / vetting processes.
